Nestled deep in the heart of Bombay, Kamathipura lurks with its notorious red-light district, infamous for crime and debauchery. It is here, amid the incessant torrents of a monsoon night, that the life of affluent Aman Kapoor takes an unexpected turn. His luxurious car grinds to a halt on Lamington Road, the closest railway station to this realm of iniquity. In the face of a dead phone and a relentless storm, Aman seeks refuge in a nearby edifice, stepping unknowingly into a world he'd never envisioned. In this unfamiliar landscape, he crosses paths with Chameli, a woman of the night, who becomes his unexpected companion in the ensuing chaos. Their meeting marks the beginning of a surreal journey, peppered with menacing pimps, enigmatic eunuchs, hardened prostitutes, and unscrupulous police officers. Aman finds himself entangled in a labyrinth of vice and virtue from which escape seems to be an elusive dream. This tale of unlikely companionship explores the dark underbelly of the city, where nightmares never seem to end.
