Cesar and Rosalie (1972)

Rosalie, a charming divorcée, delicately balances her life between her family home, where she resides with her mother, siblings, and young daughter, and the lively world of César, a self-made tycoon of the scrap iron industry. César, with his boisterous personality, is hopelessly smitten with her. However, their tranquil existence is disrupted by the quiet re-entry of David, an artist and Rosalie's former flame. David, in a subtle yet determined manner, seeks to rekindle his relationship with Rosalie. César's frequent pangs of jealousy and misguided attempts at strategy only serve to drive Rosalie further into David's waiting arms. Undeterred, César continues his efforts to win her back, buying her treasured childhood seaside retreat as a gift. His plan succeeds momentarily, but in order to keep Rosalie happy, he finds himself inviting David into their lives. When Rosalie uncovers the unexpected alliance between César and David, she reaffirms her independence, leaving both men in an unexpected companionship, and the audience intrigued about the complex dynamics of love and freedom.
