Plot

In the world of haunting melodies and silent screams, the life of cellist and teacher Mi-Ju Hong takes a sinister turn. When her friend and colleague, Sun-Ae, invites her to embrace the role of professor at a prestigious institution, an unexpected tremor of dread permeates her existence. An eerie invitation to a concert recalls the tragic fate of her former best friend Tae-Yeon's sister, Hae-Young Kim, whose life was snuffed out in a car accident. However, the shadows of her past are not the only threats lurking. A disgruntled ex-student with a score to settle promises revenge, marking the beginning of her descent into fear. As she narrowly escapes a near accident on her drive home, an air of foreboding fills her domestic haven. The arrival of Ji-Sook, an eccentric and mute housekeeper hired by her husband Jun-Ki, and a surprise birthday celebration with her family and sister-in-law Kyung Ran, whose lover is away for studies, only serve to increase the tension. Mi-Ju's world begins to crumble when her young daughter Yoon-Jin becomes entranced by a cello, an instrument that ushers in a chilling symphony of terror. Following the unexplained death of their beloved dog Sunny, a series of disturbing events begin to unfold around Mi-Ju, threatening her family's safety. A spectral visitor haunts her nights, and the whispered words of her husband echo in her mind: "open your eyes". As her loved ones start to fall prey to horrific deaths, Mi-Ju must delve into her tormented past to unearth the root of this malevolent force. As the lines between her reality and nightmares blur, she must uncover the secret that holds the key to their survival. With each strum of the cello, a darker truth is revealed, setting the stage for a climax that resonates with suspense and terror.
