Carry On Screaming! (1966)

In the spectral shadow of the forest, young women are mysteriously vanishing, spirited away by Oddbod, the monstrous brainchild of the wicked Dr Watt. The hapless, henpecked Detective-Sergeant Bung is thrown onto this eerie case, finding himself entangled in a web of the unknown. A promising lead turns into a dreadful dead end with the shocking demise of lavatory attendant Dan Dann, drowned in the very place he worked. However, amidst the bleak chaos, Bung stumbles upon a glimmer of distraction in the form of the enthralling Valeria and her captivating allure. Unbeknownst to him, her daunting country manor holds the ominous key to the unimaginable terrors that are unfolding. Meanwhile, the malevolent Dr Watt is engaged in a scheme of diabolical proportions. The kidnapped women are being grotesquely transformed into mannequins, destined for the window displays of local stores. In this gleefully macabre parody of Hammer Horror classics, Carry On Screaming blends elements from the greats of horror lore, from the chilling tale of Frankenstein to the dual horrors of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Oblivious to the sinister plot around him, Detective-Sergeant Bung forges on, blissfully unaware of the horrific truth lurking in the shadows. Will he uncover Dr Watt's dreadful operation, or will he be just another pawn in this game of monstrous mayhem?
