Plot

In the tempestuous world of gangland, Racket Boss John Sarto tires of the endless cycle of violence. Yearning for a touch of sophistication, he abandons his notorious life to embark on a European sojourn in search of "culture." Yet, the glittering allure of the old world proves deceiving, as his fortune is swiftly swept away by European con artists. With his dreams of refinement dashed, Sarto finds himself drawn back to the familiar shadows of the mob. However, the underworld he left behind is no longer his dominion. The new boss, Jack Burns, views him as an extraneous relic of the past rather than a threat. After a close brush with death, Sarto finds sanctuary in an unexpected place - the humble abode of the "Little Brothers of the Flower" monastery. As Sarto navigates the tranquility of monastic life, his distinctive talents begin to serve an unexpected purpose. His past life of danger and deceit proves to be a boon, especially when his old gang encroaches upon the monks' flower market territory. As the lines between his old life and his new one blur, Sarto finds himself on a path of transformation. The sincerity and simplicity of the brothers gradually reshape the former gang boss, leading him to question his understanding of "class." In a final confrontation with his gangland past, Sarto must decide where his loyalties lie and what his definition of "class" truly is. Will the monastic life offer him the refinement he initially sought in Europe, or will the lure of his gangster past prove too strong to resist?
