Plot

Set against the evocative backdrop of Paris, on the precipice of Nazi invasion, the enchanting yet wily actress, Viviane Denvers, embroils her former flame, Frédéric Auger, in a perilous game of subterfuge as she entices him to conceal a murder she committed. When a car accident exposes their secret, Frédéric is unjustly imprisoned, but his confinement is short-lived. The advent of war provides an unexpected avenue for escape, and Frédéric seizes the opportunity, forming an unlikely alliance with fellow escapee, Raoul. Their desperate flight from the encroaching Nazi regime leads them to the bustling train to Bordeaux, where they cross paths with Camille, the brilliant protege of physicist Professeur Kopolski. She carries with her a revolutionary research on heavy water, a secret that must not fall into the wrong hands. As the motley group arrives in Bordeaux, they find themselves in a whirlwind of high stakes intrigue at the opulent Hotel Splendide. Here, a volatile mix of cabinet members, spies, journalists, and socialites gather, all attempting to evade the ominous shadow of Nazi-occupied Paris. Among them is Viviane, now entwined with her latest conquest, the influential minister of state, Jean-Étienne Beaufort. As the group navigates this labyrinth of swirling suspicions and clandestine alliances, they are relentlessly pursued by a cunning German spy, journalist Alex Winckler. Amid the intoxicating blend of treacherous intrigues, scientific secrets, and simmering love affairs, the fate of the free world teeters precariously. All the while, Paris crumbles, and the bewildered populace struggles to comprehend their changing world. Unravel the mystery and immerse yourself in the gripping narrative of Bon Voyage.
