Plot

Beneath the kaleidoscope of flamboyant colors and unabated revelry of Rio's Carnival, the paths of two souls destined for profound connection converge. Eurydice, a captivating beacon of innocence and beauty, flees from her rustic sanctuary, haunted by the ominous shadow of a man she believes seeks her demise. Her journey for solace leads her to the welcoming abode of her cousin Serafina amidst the pulsating heart of Rio de Janeiro. In the same vibrant city thrives Orpheus, a charismatic tram conductor who weaves enchanting melodies on his divine guitar, his life seemingly scripted towards a passionless union with his fervent fiancée, Mira. Yet, fate, like a skillful puppeteer, intertwines the lives of Eurydice and Orpheus on the eve of the Carnival's grandeur, igniting a fervent romance that threatens to consume their existing realities. As the intoxicating rhythm of the Carnival heightens, so does Mira's jealousy, seething and potent. When Eurydice mysteriously vanishes amidst the chaos, Orpheus is catapulted into a desperate search, his love for Eurydice the only compass guiding him. Simultaneously, the spectral specter of Death itself looms ominously, relentlessly pursuing Eurydice. The star-crossed lovers, now entangled in a battle not just against Mira's wrath but also against the vengeful maenads thirsty for their doom, must navigate this perilous labyrinth. Will their love endure the trials, or will the menacing darkness extinguish their shared flame? Amidst the cacophony of the Carnival and the throbbing undercurrents of passion, danger, and betrayal, will the sun ever rise again in their lives?
