In the dusty heart of the Wild West, a botched bank robbery sets the stage for an unlikely alliance and an unyielding pursuit. Arch Deans, a hardened Scottish outlaw, and Billy Two Hats, a resourceful half-Kiowa youth, find their fates intertwined when their audacious heist results in a death, forcing them into a relentless flight. Sheriff Henry Gifford, an unwavering symbol of justice, is hot on their heels, determined to bring them to justice or send them to their graves. In the ensuing chase, one of their partners is shot dead and Billy is captured, while Deans narrowly escapes. However, in a daring twist of events, Deans masterminds a plot to liberate Billy from the steely grip of the law, but not without consequence. Wounded in the attempt, Deans becomes incapacitated, unable to walk or mount a horse. Undeterred and loyal, Billy crafts an Indian cot, hitching it to their horse to transport the debilitated Deans. A strange father-son bond forms between the Scottish fugitive and his young half-breed partner as they strive to evade the tenacious Sheriff Gifford. Faced with mounting obstacles and the imminent threat of capture or death, Deans and Billy must rely on their wits, courage, and newfound kinship to stay one stride ahead in this dangerous game of survival and freedom.
