Plot

In the humble fishing village of Topolobampo, Mexico, where a man's pride is his treasure and a woman's reputation her shield, lives Pepe, a fiery soul known for his temper and a past stained with violence. A drunken sailor's careless remark plants the seeds of doubt in Pepe's heart, making him question if his wife, Magdalena's child, is truly his. This jealousy gnaws at him, threatening to consume everything he holds dear. Meanwhile, the village is infiltrated by Jim Gatsby, a gringo who returns after a six-year absence with a scheme as risky as it is profitable. He plans to exploit a depth reader to pinpoint shrimp schools, operating on the fringe of Mexican waters to evade the law. Local shrimpers will bring him the illicit catch, a foolproof plan that promises great wealth but teeters on the edge of legality. As Gatsby's illegal operation unfolds, he runs into conflict with the local authorities and a seething Pepe, whose jealousy has transformed into outright suspicion of an affair between Gatsby and his wife, Magdalena. The tranquil fishing village becomes a whirlpool of envy, greed, and suspicion, the adults lost in their selfish endeavors. As the village spirals into chaos, the question arises: can the innocence of a child offer redemption, or will the village crumble under the weight of its own sins? Beyond All Limits is a tale of human frailty and the lengths one would go for pride and profit, set against the backdrop of a serene Mexican fishing village.
