In the heart of Los Angeles, the mesmerizing Jayne Ferré, a ruthless assassin for the mob, finds herself in a desperate race against time. With one million dollars of mob money in her suitcase, stolen from the formidable mob boss Frank Bianci, Jayne is no longer the hunter but the hunted. Meanwhile, Emily, a mother of a sixteen-year-old boy, Kerry, is also on the run, fleeing from a vengeance-hungry drug dealer and dreaming of a new life in Texas. Their paths cross in the most unexpected way when Jayne, after dispatching a would-be assassin, offers to cover Emily's journey to San Antonio in exchange for a ride. The hesitant alliance turns into a motley trio when their car fails, forcing them to pause their journey at a small, nondescript motel.
