Plot

In the heart of Los Angeles, the mesmerizing Jayne Ferré, a ruthless assassin for the mob, finds herself in a desperate race against time. With one million dollars of mob money in her suitcase, stolen from the formidable mob boss Frank Bianci, Jayne is no longer the hunter but the hunted. Meanwhile, Emily, a mother of a sixteen-year-old boy, Kerry, is also on the run, fleeing from a vengeance-hungry drug dealer and dreaming of a new life in Texas. Their paths cross in the most unexpected way when Jayne, after dispatching a would-be assassin, offers to cover Emily's journey to San Antonio in exchange for a ride. The hesitant alliance turns into a motley trio when their car fails, forcing them to pause their journey at a small, nondescript motel. Kerry, driven by curiosity and temptation, stumbles upon Jayne’s stolen fortune and, in a reckless decision, absconds with the money back to Los Angeles. The morning brings a gun-blazing confrontation with Bianci's relentless men, forcing Jayne and Emily on a frantic chase back to the city. But Emily's fear gives way to determination, and she makes a daring escape. Enter Alex Tyler: an FBI agent who appears to be a Good Samaritan, assisting Emily back to L.A. The plot thickens when they find Bianci and a corrupt detective dead at Emily's house, and a call from Jayne reveals an unexpected twist: she and Alex are in cahoots. With Kerry held hostage, Emily is thrust into a lethal game of survival, trapped between two trained killers, corrupt cops, and the mob. In the end, it’s a deadly standoff where a desperate mother and her son must outwit their adversaries in a high-stakes, nerve-wracking battle of wits. The plot of Betrayal is a thrilling roller coaster of deception, survival, and, ultimately, the unyielding power of a mother's love.
