Best Men (1997)

In the heart of the movie, "Best Men", four impeccably dressed comrades rendezvous at a penitentiary, uniting with their friend who has paid his debt to society after a three-year sentence. Fresh out of jail, the groom-to-be has plans to exchange vows with his sweetheart, embarking on a journey from incarceration to matrimony. However, the path to the altar takes an unexpected detour when one of the men, known for his peculiar penchant for reciting Shakespeare during his illicit activities, requests a pitstop at a bank. Known infamously as "Hamlet", his deceptive motive to acquire some cash spirals into a full-blown bank heist, catapulting all five friends into a hostage crisis. As the bank is enveloped by law enforcement, the situation escalates further when the hostage negotiator who arrives is none other than Hamlet's father. In an unusual twist, the robbers aren’t strangers to their captives, and this quirky comedy veers off the typical path as the hostages unexpectedly rally behind the men. As the FBI assumes command of this tense situation, the best men find themselves entangled in a chaotic blend of camaraderie, crime, and comedy on what was supposed to be a simple trip to the altar.
