In the not-too-distant future of 2021, humanity finds itself on the brink of obliteration, under siege by the Gastrea, a destructive parasitic virus. Humans are corralled within the towering Monolith walls, impenetrable fortresses forged from Varanium, the only metal capable of subduing the relentless Gastrea. Amidst this chaos, a grotesque miracle occurs: children born with the Gastrea virus, known as the Cursed Children, gain superhuman abilities. Ironically, salvation comes in the form of the very virus that threatens to destroy them.
