Once upon a time, Ichirou Satou lived behind the guise of 'Maryuin Koga', a hero of his own fantasy realm. His peculiar mannerisms made him an easy target for his classmates, leading to his departure from the school. Now in a new environment, Ichirou is intent on leading a normal life, leaving his fabricated alter ego behind. However, fate has other plans when he crosses paths with a girl draped in a blue cape, who introduces herself as an extraterrestrial researcher on a quest for the 'Dragon Terminal'. Initially, Ichirou tries to distance himself from Ryouko Satou, as her eccentric conduct mirrors his own past embarrassments. Yet, witnessing her being subjected to the same ridicule he once endured, he finds himself empathizing with her. Swallowing his reservations, Ichirou embraces his past and her, stepping back into the shoes of Maryuin Koga for one final crusade. His purpose is clear: to help Ryouko overcome her fantasy world and reintegrate into reality. This journey of self-acceptance and empathy forms the crux of Aura: Koga Maryuin's Last War.
