Asterix Conquers America (1994)

In the heart of Gaul, a single indomitable village continues to defy the might of the Roman Empire, much to the vexation of Caesar. The source of their resilience? A magic potion brewed by the immortal druid, Getafix. Tired of the repeated humiliation, Caesar hatches a plan to rid himself of this irksome problem once and for all. He orders his lackey, Lucullus, to capture the druid and cast him off the edge of the world, still widely believed to be as flat as a pizza. In an ironic twist of fate, Lucullus' trap snares not only the druid, but also Obelix's beloved pet dog. This prompts the brawn to Asterix's brain, along with our titular hero, to set sail across the Atlantic in hot pursuit. Their journey, however, is fraught with danger, culminating in a fierce storm that leaves them shipwrecked on the coast of North America. Meanwhile, Getafix is catapulted off the Roman galley, landing amidst a tribe of Native Americans who mistake him for a god. Back in Gaul, Caesar eyes the now vulnerable village, waiting for the last vestiges of the magic potion to run out. Simultaneously, in the New World, Asterix and Obelix navigate their way through unfamiliar terrain and cultures. The tribe's medicine man views them with suspicion, especially when Getafix proves to be a formidable rival. As they strive to rescue their druid and protect the secret of their magic potion, the duo stumbles upon a shocking sight upon their return home — their village razed and its inhabitants abducted. Now, more than ever, Asterix and Obelix must summon their courage and cunning to free their friends, dismantle the Roman camp, and send Caesar packing once again.
