Amid the gilded glamour of the social circuit, Torrance Caldwell's débutante ball on April 1, 2007, becomes the setting for a sinister farce. Desiree Cartier, an affluent socialite, and her brother, Blaine, craft a cruel prank, drugging their unsuspecting acquaintance Milan Hastings with a potent concoction in her champagne.
