Plot
In the heart of the bustling city, Meeta Sen (Tanuja) and Amar Sen (Sanjeev Kumar) find themselves entwined in a long-standing nuptial bond. For years, Amar's relentless professional commitments have kept their relationship in a state of arrested development, with the pitter-patter of tiny feet a distant dream. Meeta, yearning for a deeper connection, takes the reins of their domestic world into her own hands, dismissing all household help, except for the steadfast Hari (A.K. Hangal).
With this newfound solitude, the couple's bond deepens, sparking an intimate flame that had been long dormant. Their world, however, is disrupted when a ghost from Meeta's past, Shashi Bhushan (Dinesh Thakur), resurfaces. Shashi's presence shakes their marital foundation, further complicated by his employment at Amar's workplace. As the past intertwines with the present, Meeta and Amar's marriage teeters on the brink, leaving them to navigate the turbulent waters of love and commitment.
