Another Day (2001)

In the throes of young love and ambition, Kate's world is turned upside down when she discovers her acceptance into medical school coincides with her unexpected pregnancy. Her boyfriend, Paul, is the unborn child's father, and their differing views on the matter culminate in a heated argument. Seeking solitude to digest the whirlwind of events, Kate departs, only to return to the devastating news of Paul's untimely death in a factory fire. The film leaps forward to the birth of Meghan, their daughter, and then fast-forwards another four years. Here, we find Kate and Meghan living alongside Kate's lifelong best friend, David.
