Plot

In the quirky, heartwarming tale of "An Alligator Named Daisy," London music store clerk and hopeful songwriter, Peter Weston, finds his orderly life thrown into delightful chaos. Returning from an Irish holiday, he encounters the vivacious Moira O'Shannon aboard the ferry to England. Despite his engagement to Vanessa Colebrook, the privileged daughter of a wealthy magnate, Peter is captivated by Moira's charm, an enchantment further complicated by her own engagement to a man working abroad in South America. This intricate romantic triangle takes an unexpected twist when Peter unwittingly inherits an unusual pet from a seasoned seafarer - a docile but daunting alligator named Daisy. Peter, who harbors a fear of reptiles, is initially desperate to be rid of his new companion, but Moira, an animal lover and keeper at the London Zoo, goes to great lengths to prevent Daisy's departure. As Peter stumbles from one comical misadventure to the next, struggling to conceal Daisy's existence from Vanessa, he finds himself growing fond of the alligator. Simultaneously, he navigates the complex love triangle between himself, Vanessa, and Moira, which becomes an even more convoluted love square with the unexpected return of Moira's distant fiancé. "An Alligator Named Daisy" is a charming exploration of unexpected love and even more unexpected friendships, set against the backdrop of mid-century London. The film enthralls viewers with its blend of humor, romance, and a middle-sized alligator, promising a cinematic experience that is as surprising as it is delightful.
