In the wake of a two and a half year courtroom marathon, rising legal star Tia Larkin takes a breather from her prosperous career at her father's prestigious law firm in Seattle. With a passion for sailing and an eye on the partnership track, Tia trades the courtroom for the open sea, flying to San Francisco to assist her aunt and uncle, Roland and Julie, with a legal issue involving their latest venture. Their project? Transmuting the Pacific Yellowfin, a grand vintage yacht, into a floating restaurant for enchanting dinner cruises. When the captain unexpectedly abandons ship, Tia seizes the opportunity to take the helm for the summer season, much to the joy of Roland and Julie, but the chagrin of her father who harbors skepticism towards the entire business endeavor. However, her dreams of a blissful summer on the water capsize when she discovers the yacht's executive chef is none other than her ex-boyfriend, Jake Jarrett. Unbeknownst to Roland and Julie, Tia and Jake’s last voyage ended twelve years prior when conflicting career ambitions and Jake's refusal to maintain a long-distance relationship led to a heartrending split. Now, as they find themselves sharing a kitchen and a captain's deck, old tensions and unspoken feelings bubble to the surface. Despite his stifling past executive chef job, Jake is reluctant to abandon this chance due to Tia's presence, and likewise, Tia refuses to back down. Together, they must navigate the choppy waters of professional coexistence and possibly reconcile past differences to rekindle their lost friendship, all while wrestling with lingering romantic feelings. However, the path to possible romance is strewn with obstacles. Jake's affluent old friend, Bennett Jamiesen, has a keen interest in Tia, and the lure of new professional opportunities could pull them apart once more. Only if they dare to confront their true feelings can they avoid the risk of another shipwrecked romance.
