Alice, Sweet Alice (1976)

In the troubled heart of the Spages family, a tempestuous 12-year-old Alice resides, often eclipsed by the attention showered on her younger sister, Karen. Their divorced mother, Catherine, unwittingly fans the flames of resentment, making Alice feel neglected and overlooked. This familial tension reaches a chilling climax during Karen's First Communion, when the innocent ceremony is marred by a shocking act of violence: Karen is strangled by an unseen assailant, garbed in a St. Michael's yellow coat and a mysterious veil.
