Plot

In the rustic expanse of a rural farm, young Cass Bunning harbors dreams of venturing into the perilous yet enticing world of bounty hunting in the notorious Silver City. Despite his deftness with a gun, Cass soon learns that Silver City is a quagmire of corruption, ill-suited for a man of his honest nature. On his journey, he crosses paths with the infamous outlaw Billy Pimple and his ruthless gang, an encounter that leaves an ominous air of future confrontation. Upon arrival in town, Cass's path intersects with Nellie Winters, an innocent newcomer seeking employment at Madam Mamie's saloon and house of ill-repute. Disgusted, Cass swoops in to save Nellie from this fate, spiriting her away to the sanctuary of a hotel room. However, their refuge is short-lived as they fall into the clutches of the town deputies and find themselves standing before the eccentric, perpetually inebriated Judge Roy Bean. In a courtroom that doubles as a barroom, the judge, amidst swigs of whiskey, sentences Cass and Nellie to matrimony, claiming it as a crusade for the town's morality. Gifted with a complimentary hotel room, the newlyweds venture outside Silver City, only to unexpectedly collide with the notorious Jesse James and his gang. To add to their woes, the shadow of Billy Pimple looms larger than ever, reminding Cass that some encounters are destined to resurface.
