In the wake of a heartrending divorce, Saul, a melancholic dreamer in his forties, finds himself ensnared in the grip of loneliness. Once a man who sought solace in isolation, he now yearns for connection, working the front desk at a local health clinic, attempting to navigate the mundane drudgery of life. The echo of an unresolved past nudges him to embark on a journey back to Haifa, the city he fled from five years ago, seeking a reckoning with his estranged father, Shimon. Saul's relationship with his father has always been fraught with resentment and misunderstanding, with Shimon bearing the brunt of blame for Saul's life's tribulations. Shimon, now a Yoga convert, lives with his unconventional partner, Betty, an eccentric woman with a fascination for the mystical. She weaves a world around herself with art therapy and magical amulets, precious stones that she believes hold the power to heal. Stepping into his father's bohemian world feels like descending into hell for Saul. The challenge of reconciling with an airy-fairy mother-in-law, a maturing daughter on the cusp of adolescence, and a father who has found refuge in the spiritual world, seems insurmountable. But unbeknownst to him, he is about to stumble upon a path that may lead him far from the abyss he fears. After a pivotal misstep, Saul finds himself at a crossroads. Amid the chaos and the unexpected healing from Betty's unconventional methods, he begins to see his life through a new lens. As he navigates the unfamiliar terrain, he gradually discovers his place - as a son, a father, and more importantly, as a person finding his footing in the world.
