Plot

Set against the kaleidoscopic backdrop of New York's fashion industry and the vibrant allure of Paris, "A New Kind of Love" weaves a comedic tale of mistaken identities and unexpected romance. Samantha Blake, a twenty-five-year-old fashion buyer for the budget-friendly J. Bergner's Fifth Avenue, has put romance on a back burner, focusing on her job and masquerading as a man named Sam. Her work involves stealing designs from high-end shops, allowing Bergner to recreate them at a fraction of the cost. She meets Steve Sherman, a talented journalist with a penchant for womanizing, on a New York to Paris flight. Their journey to the city of love is sparked by contrasting motives; Samantha's trip is a professional one while Steve's is a punitive exile by his boss, hoping the irresistible French beauties will lead to his downfall. In Paris, their paths cross in the most unexpected of ways. Samantha, inspired by the city of love, undergoes a radical makeover. She crosses paths with Steve again, who, failing to recognize her as Sam, assumes that she is a high-priced call girl named Mimi. Intrigued by her supposed profession, Steve decides to use her as a source for his stories. As they spend more time together, the lines blur between their professional interactions and personal feelings. Meanwhile, Samantha's colleague Lena O'Connor navigates her own romantic labyrinth, caught in a delicate dance of love with her boss Joe Bergner, and the charming Felicienne Corbeau. The unfolding story is a riotous romp through love's many disguises, misunderstandings, and the ultimate quest for genuine connection. As Samantha and Steve inch closer to the precipice of love, they must confront their past and present identities. Will they be able to see beyond their personas and embrace their true selves? "A New Kind of Love" is a delightful exploration of love in its many forms, set amidst the hustle and bustle of the fashion world and the enchanting city of Paris.
