A Kiss Before Christmas (2021)

As the Christmas Eve bells chime, we're transported back in time - twenty years, when an elevator breakdown first entwined the lives of Ethan Holt, a dedicated project manager at Bellingham Developments, and Joyce Hollander, a passionate history teacher. Ethan, however, finds himself grappling with a lingering discontent. He's torn between his love for Joyce and their adopted teenage siblings, Colin and Trisha, and his ambition to climb the corporate ladder. As Joyce contemplates rekindling her original aspiration of becoming a lawyer and Colin prepares to leave the nest, Ethan feels cornered, unable to fully invest in their evolving lives. His restlessness is stoked by the stark contrast between his career trajectory and that of Sean Doyle, the company's vice president. Sean, despite his cutthroat methods and scant regard for his colleagues' welfare, has effortlessly ascended the corporate ranks. Ethan broods over his stagnant career, lamenting his choice to be "the good guy" who prioritizes ethics over ruthless ambition. In the midst of his turmoil, Ethan finds solace in a seemingly ordinary train station Santa. He yearns for a different reality – one where he joined Sean in an elevator ride twenty years ago, a ride that catapulted Sean into his successful career. His wish is granted, and he wakes up in an alternate life on December 1st of the same year. He's now the co-partner of his company, living the high-flying life he'd envisioned. But this life is not without its costs. He's estranged from Joyce, the woman he once loved, and Colin and Trisha, the children they had adopted together. Joyce, now a formidable lawyer, is his adversary, battling against one of his company's projects. Worse, he's morphed into a mirror image of Sean, having achieved his success the ruthless way. Ethan is given a deadline – he has until Christmas to decide what he truly desires. He must choose between holding on to his newfound life, losing all memories of his past existence, or fighting to reclaim his original life and family. As the Christmas clock ticks, Ethan finds himself in a race against time, caught in a web of decisions that will shape his life and the lives of the ones he loves.
