In the heated dust of 1868 Arizona, the warpath of the fierce Apaches, led by the formidable Cochise, slices through the serenity of the desert. Amid this turmoil, U.S. Army Captain Bruce Coburn is entrusted with the perilous mission of safeguarding settlers journeying to the sanctuary of Apache Wells. His task is an uphill climb, complicated by a motley crew of undisciplined soldiers under the ambitious Corporal Bodine. The plot thickens when a precious shipment of repeating rifles becomes the target of a ruthless pursuit. In a turn of treachery, Bodine and his rogue comrades desert their ranks, stealing the coveted weapons.
