Zombie Detective (2020)
Plot
Zombie Detective (2020) is a riveting blend of the living and the undead, a human comedy that centers on Kim Moo-Young (Choi Jin-Hyuk), a two-year resident of the zombie realm. Striving to exist in a world where he's neither quite alive nor dead, Moo-Young has adeptly adopted human mannerisms from his time in a secluded village to blend in. His resolution to unearth his forgotten past leads him to the bustling city, where he hangs his shingle as a private detective.
In this city of secrets, his path converges with that of Kong Sun-Ji (Park Joo-Hyun), a former writer for a current affairs complaint program. Sun-Ji, whose career was abruptly halted when a key witness in her case was assaulted by an elusive stranger, finds herself drawn into the peculiar world of our zombie detective. Seeking a new purpose, she joins Moo-Young's investigative office in a part-time capacity.
As they navigate this uncharted territory, they grapple with the complexities of co-existing with humans and the challenging quest of recovering Moo-Young's lost memories. In the process, they discover more than they bargained for, resulting in a tale that is equally heartwarming and thrilling. With every unfolding mystery, Zombie Detective invites viewers to question what it truly means to be human, all while serving a generous dose of laughter and suspense.
