Plot
This is a historical drama that follows the early life of Queen Victoria. It opens at the beginning of her reign when she is 18 years old. She has an infatuation with Lord Melbourne and is courted by her future husband, Prince Albert. The first season ends with the birth of her first child Princess Royal, Victoria. The second season shows her struggling with her duties as the Queen of England and as a mother and wife. She has to deal with the Anglo-Afghan War and the Irish famine in the 1840s. In the third season, her life becomes even more complicated.
