Over the Garden Wall (2014)

This is an animated fantasy miniseries of two modern half-brothers who find themselves in a mysterious realm called The Unknown after falling into a pond on Halloween. Lost in the cloudy forest, they are determined to find their way home. On the way, they meet many fantastical creatures, especially an old woodsman and a bluebird who help them on their way. They need to get home before they are caught by the Beast, a creature who leads lost people away until they lose hope and desire of reaching home and become Eldelwood trees. Is the forest real or imagery and will the boys escape the Beast?
