Plot

In the heart of the digital universe, Angela Bennett (Brooke Langton), a brilliant computer hacker renowned for her expertise in debugging systems, dwells. Her ordinary world is shattered when she uncovers a sinister plot by a clandestine society known as the Praetorians. Led by the ominous Shawn Trelawney (Joseph Bottoms), they weave a web of cyber deceit intended to manipulate the world through intricate computer systems. Like the stroke of a malicious key, Angela's identity is erased, her existence obliterated and replaced with that of Elizabeth Marx, a notorious criminal wanted by the law. Suddenly thrust into a realm of shadows and danger, Angela finds herself pursued, her every move tangled in a matrix of illusion and treachery. But not all hope is lost. Guided by a mysterious e-mail contact known only as "Sorcerer" (Tim Curry), and aided by a motley crew of unlikely allies she encounters on her journey, Angela embarks on a mission to unravel the Praetorians' menacing plan. Embroiled in a relentless game of cat and mouse, she navigates her way through the labyrinth of deceit, determined to reclaim her life, thwart the Praetorians, and prevent a digital apocalypse. The Net (1998) immerses you in a thrilling cyber chase, where the line between reality and the virtual world blurs, and where one woman's fight for her identity becomes a battle to save the world.
