The Bourne Identity (1988)

In the midst of a raging tempest, an unknown man, unconscious and enigmatic, washes up on the sands of a quaint French hamlet. A retired physician, intrigued by the stranger's plight, takes him under his care. As the man stirs back to consciousness, he is ensnared by a bewildering amnesia. His past is an enigma, his identity a riddle wrapped in mystery, and his only clue, an anonymous Swiss bank account code ingeniously implanted in his thigh. As he embarks on a perilous quest to retrace his own identity, the danger intensifies. Sinister forces shadow his every step, orchestrating relentless attempts on his life. Yet, he is acknowledged with an eerie familiarity in the opulent suites of Europe's first-class hotels. Most disturbingly, his fragmented memories resonate with the notorious deeds of the dreaded terrorist, Carlos the Jackal.
