Plot

In the heart of a village tyrannized by a merciless feudal lord, a self-absorbed noble's son, Lee Eun Oh, arrives on a desperate quest to find his missing mother. Possessing an uncanny ability to perceive ghosts, Eun Oh's journey takes a twisted turn when he encounters the ethereal Arang. She's a ghostly maiden, stripped of her memories in death, her past shrouded in mystery and her soul burdened by false accusations surrounding her untimely demise. Haunted by the injustice of her death and the shadow of her forgotten life, Arang seeks out Eun Oh's unique gift. Her plea: to unravel the enigma of her identity and the circumstances of her death, hoping to find peace and retribution. Using her spectral wits, Arang orchestrates Eun Oh's appointment as the local magistrate, binding him with a duty to investigate her unsolved mystery. Initially, Eun Oh resists, his focus tethered to his own missing mother. But as he delves deeper into Arang's riddle, he discerns a chilling connection between the ghostly maiden's plight and his mother's disappearance. Torn between his personal quest and Arang's desperate plea, Eun Oh finds himself enmeshed in a spectral dance of suspense, vengeance, and unexpected revelations. Will he uncover the truth that binds their fates together, or will he remain a pawn in the hands of the unseen? Each step draws him deeper into a world where the boundaries between the living and the dead blur, and where the search for truth could cost him more than he ever imagined.
