Spirited is a captivating blend of drama, comedy, and romance that follows the life of Suzy Darling, a meticulous dentist with a knack for practicality. Married to a brilliant yet insufferable man, Suzy reaches her breaking point at one disastrous dinner party and decides to abandon her loveless marriage. With an escape plan long in the making, she relocates her two children, Verity and Elis, into a penthouse apartment intriguingly nestled above her dental surgery. However, her fresh start takes an unexpected turn when she finds herself sharing the penthouse with an extraordinary roommate - Henry Mallet. The British rock star and charismatic lead singer of the successful seventies punk band, The Nerve, vanished under mysterious circumstances in Sydney in 1985 and is, unbeknownst to the world, a ghost. Suzy's pragmatic and composed world collides with Henry's spectral and flamboyantly rock 'n' roll existence, creating a truly odd couple bound together by the whims of fate. Spirited delves into the blackly humorous exploration of love, death, and life as Suzy navigates her new existence. From single-mindedly charging through life, she is now forced to pause and smell the roses, all under the ethereal gaze of her rock star ghost roommate.
