In the infinite panorama of human creativity, countless worlds have been woven, each sprung from the unique whims of their creators. Among these creators-in-making is Souta Mizushino, a high school student with dreams of crafting his own light novel. His seemingly ordinary life takes an extraordinary turn when he momentarily crosses into the animated realm while seeking inspiration for his work. Upon his return, he finds the real world subtly altered as he's not alone - Celestia Yupitilia, the fiery heroine of the anime, has tagged along. Soon, the boundaries between fiction and reality become increasingly blurred as a diverse cast of characters - a noble knight, a magical enchantress, a relentless brawler, and more - spill from their fictional universes into Japan's bustling streets. Among them is a mysterious military-clad woman, "Gunpuku no Himegimi," her knowledge about the creators' world unsettlingly profound, yet her true name and origin remain shrouded in mystery. As these extraordinary events unfold, Souta and Celestia band together with Meteora Österreich, a serene librarian NPC, to unravel the enigma behind this reality-altering phenomenon. With their world teetering on the brink of a revolution, they grapple with the unsettling notion that to their fictional visitors, the creators may seem like gods. What follows is a saga of emotional turmoil, a collision of joy, sadness, and anger, culminating in a dramatic confrontation between creators and creations - each with their own consciousness and will. In this thrilling tale of Re:CREATORS, the line between spectator and participant is erased, and everyone has the potential to become a Creator.
