In the dawn of 2030, the global competition to conquer the Red Planet is at its peak, with China astonishing the world by outpacing America's long-standing plans. The Chinese have successfully deployed a series of sophisticated rovers and robotic landers on Mars, inching closer to the most momentous discovery in human history - extraterrestrial life. Once more, America, accompanied by its allies, including Canada, is plunged into a high-stakes space race, echoing the lunar mission of the past century, but with higher stakes. With China preparing to dispatch its final fleet of rovers, an international consortium comprising the United States, Canada, Russia, France, and Japan hastens its plans. They aim to outdo their competition and finally launch a manned mission to Mars. An extraordinary team of six - four men and two women, hailing from the partner nations - are chosen for this gruelling two-year endeavour. These six individuals must unite as a team, conquer their hidden fears, and cope with the profound sacrifice of leaving their loved ones behind.
