In a startling twist of fate, Shu, an ordinary Japanese boy, plunges into a desperate mission to rescue the enigmatic girl, Lala Ru, from her captors. This act catapults him into an alternate Earth, teetering on the precipice of annihilation by a relentless sun. In this perilous realm, he crosses paths with Sara, an American girl from his era, ensnared in a case of mistaken identity due to her uncanny resemblance to Lala Ru. Against his will, Shu is inducted into the unhinged army of the fearsome and fickle King Hamdo. Meanwhile, Sara is coerced into a terrifying existence, forced to bear offspring for the expansion of the king's terrifying ranks. Amidst the chaos, Lala Ru wields a pendant capable of creating water - a scarce and invaluable resource in this desolate world. The girl and her pendant are both a beacon of hope and a beacon of torment in this fractured reality. As factions clash in blood-soaked battles for control over her unique abilities, Lala Ru is ensnared in a life of captivity.
