In the long shadow of a catastrophic clash known as the "Calamity War," three centuries have passed since Earth and Mars locked horns. Now, within the Martian metropolis of Chryse, a cry for independence echoes, and it's Cordelia, a woman of courage and conviction, who dares to carry this message to Earth's doorstep, challenging the terrestrial government's iron grip. Her protectors on this perilous voyage are two members of the private militia CGS - the steely Mikazuki Augus and the strategic mastermind, Orga Itsuka. However, their mission takes a dangerous turn when Gjallarhorn, a formidable faction, strikes with fury. Seeing the assault as an opportunity, Orga instigates a mutiny against CGS, drawing himself and Mikazuki into the heart of a fresh conflict. Amidst the chaos, Mikazuki takes the helm of an ancient relic from the Calamity War - the Gundam Barbatos, a mobile suit fuelled by a nuclear core. As they fend off Gjallarhorn's onslaught, the battle lines are drawn, and a new chapter in the saga of Mars' independence begins to unfold.
