Plot

In the heartland of the fictitious American state, Statesoda, we find 11-year-old Orel Puppington, a beacon of optimism, innocence, and devout Christianity. Amidst the stop-motion animation echoing the likes of "Davey & Goliath," Orel navigates life's complexities with unwavering faith and untempered naivety. His ardent spirit, however, often leads him to misinterpret biblical teachings, resulting in a bizarre fusion of the macabre and the divine. Unbeknownst to him, Orel's misguided actions unmask the hypocrisy lurking within his family, particularly his father, Clay, and the pillars of his close-knit community. "Moral Orel," while adopting a veneer of religious satire akin to the undercurrents of its stop-motion predecessors, is more than just a parody. The brainchild of Dino Stamatopoulos, the show serves as a sardonic lens, refracting the wholesome facade of 1950's sitcoms like "Leave It To Beaver" and "Father Knows Best," revealing the twisted underbelly of organized religion and societal duplicity.
