Plot

In the heart of 17th century Italy, a tale of magic, mystery and forbidden love unfolds. At its center is Ade, a young woman burdened with a destiny that intertwines her with a world of witchcraft. Alongside her brother, Ade navigates a reality where women suspected of wielding the arcane are pursued relentlessly by the Benandanti, a self-proclaimed group of witch hunters. Tragedy strikes when their beloved grandmother falls victim to these hunts, propelling them into the protective fold of a coven of ancient witches. Ade's life takes a dramatic twist when she discovers that she is the chosen one, destined to harness mystical powers. Amidst the turmoil, a spark ignites between her and Pietro, the son of the Benandanti's formidable leader, Sante. Their love story unfolds against a backdrop of danger and secrecy, adding another layer to the complexity of Ade's journey. Throughout the intense six-part series, Ade grapples with her new identity while unraveling the mysteries of her past. Luna Nera is a tale that combines love, betrayal, and the struggle for self-discovery, creating a captivating narrative that keeps the viewer entangled in its spell from beginning to end.
