Plot

In the comedic cosmos of Lost Universe, Kain Blueriver, our intrepid Trouble Contractor, navigates the depths of space, tackling missions too perilous or complex for the Universal Guardians. Ever clad in his signature blue cape and Gundam-esque robot armor, his weapon of choice is a psi blade, a psychic energy-charged weapon reminiscent of the iconic light-sabres from "Star Wars." By his side, Kain is accompanied by the vibrant, green-haired Canal, a holographic persona who governs the control system of his remarkable ship, the Swordbreaker. Early in their space-bound escapades, they are joined by Millie, a versatile yet master-of-none character with a resolute pursuit of being the best in the universe at something - anything. Despite her impressive marksmanship, Millie is a quintessential anime heroine, fussing and grumbling at her recurring mishaps. Their ship, the Swordbreaker, is a "Lost Ship," a testament to an advanced, disappeared civilization, possessing the ability to bend the laws of physics and motion. Inherited from his sagacious grandmother, Kain frequently cites her wisdom as he captains this extraordinary vessel. As this dynamic trio embarks on their missions, they recover stolen goods, salvage runaway ships, and guard vulnerable witnesses, all while engaging in their fair share of squabbles and disputes.
