Plot
On the Norwegian arctic island of Fortitude, a small community of wealthy entrepreneurs and a gainfully employed working class are pursuing their dreams in a tight-nit community – until a series of grisly murders upsets this stark Arctic paradise. Quirky and troubled Sheriff Dan Anderssen and Fortitude’s Governor Hildur Odegard struggle to resolve the bizarre deaths. Meanwhile, a mine worker stumbles upon a fantastic find – a perfectly preserved woolly mammoth in an ice cave. A New York detective is called in to help investigate the murders, and an uncanny connection with the dead mammoth is about to be revealed.
