Plot
A viral outbreak hits New York City hard, and the Center for Disease Control has trouble grappling with the nature of the disease. That could be because its origins aren't scientific at all. The disease appears to turn people into lethal, undead creatures that resemble the myth of the vampire, and they don't appear to be the first of their time. As Dr. Ephrami Goodweather digs deeper, he discovers that the Strain appears to just be one weapon employed by an ancient species of vampire. And as their bid to control the world continues, New York City begins to pass the point of no return.
