Plot

Within the walls of Shinonome High School, a tale of otherworldly adventure unfolds. Here, we meet Makoto, a soft-spoken yet brilliant engineering prodigy, engrossed in an extraordinary science project. At his side is his girlfriend, Nanami, a fiery entrepreneur whose enthusiasm for her craft matches Makoto's scientific fervor. However, their tranquil world is disrupted by Jinnai, Nanami's overambitious brother, who is convinced Makoto is an obstacle to his grand designs, including his nefarious reign as school president. In a desperate attempt to thwart Makoto's success, Jinnai meddles with the science project. A sudden scuffle ensues, leading to the activation of Makoto's machine, which, rewired by Jinnai's interference, tears open a portal to another dimension. As a result, Makoto, Jinnai, Nanami, and their wise yet unsuspecting history teacher, Mr. Fujisawa, are catapulted into the mystical world of El Hazard. In this alien world, they meet Rune Venus of Roshtaria, a gracious princess who offers them aid. Stranded, they grapple with their extraordinary predicament, each granted unique powers as an unexpected side effect of their interdimensional journey. Yet, they must also contend with the relentless Jinnai, who forms an unholy alliance with the Bugrom, a rival nation, in a bid to conquer El-Hazard. Thus embarks their dual quest – to find a way back home, while simultaneously thwarting Jinnai's conquest of this strange new world. This captivating tale weaves together elements of science, fantasy, and adventure, promising a journey that is as thrilling as it is unforgettable.
