Dinosaur King (2007)

In a world where the prehistoric roams the present, young Max Taylor, son of renowned paleontologist Dr. Spike Taylor, uncovers a universe teeming with the magnificent beasts he’s only ever encountered in books - dinosaurs. A mysterious crash in the woods leads Max and his fellow D-Team comrades, Rex Owen and Zoe Drake, to discover an enigmatic stone and a card-encased Triceratops. As Max touches the stone, marked with a lightning symbol, to the card, an astounding transformation occurs - the card morphs into a living, breathing Triceratops. With a second touch, it reverts back to its card form. On the third instance, a baby Triceratops, affectionately named Chomp, emerges. The D-Team soon learn that they are not the only ones with access to these prehistoric marvels. The Alpha Gang, a sinister ensemble led by the cunning Dr. Z, is also in pursuit of these Dinosaur Cards. The motley crew, including the likes of Ursula, Zander, Ed, Seth, Dr. Z's assistant Helga, and his grandchildren Laura and Rod, aid Dr. Z in his nefarious scheme to seize the title of Dinosaur King. When Rex and Zoe themselves become custodians of a Carnotaurus named Ace and a Parasaurolophus named Paris, respectively, the stage is set for a global race against time. The D-Team and the Alpha Gang find themselves in a thrilling competition, scouring the corners of the earth to be the first to reach the Dinosaur Cards. In this clash of the present and the prehistoric, who will reign supreme?
