Year after year, with the second harvest's aroma wafting in the air, Gaviota and her mother journey to the grand Hacienda Casablanca to gather coffee beans. Their hearts hold onto the hope that this visit will mark their last as mere pickers, as they yearn to become owners of their own land. This aspiration is not born out of mere dreams, but a promise – a promise made by the now deceased hacienda owner, Octavio Vallejo. Gaviota, a woman of courage and resolve, once saved Octavio from the clutches of a kidnapping, earning his grateful pledge of one hectare of land. This land, fertile and ripe for coffee cultivation, was supposed to be their ticket to a life of independence. But Octavio's untimely demise has left the promise hanging in the balance, and the Vallejo family less than inclined to honor it. In the midst of this turmoil, Gaviota crosses paths with Octavio's son, Sebastián. A spark ignites between them, an irresistible attraction that brews a love as rich and complex as the coffee they are surrounded by. Yet, their passion is punctuated with heartache and impossibility, as they are two lovers separated by the chasm of contrasting worlds.
