“Brookside” is a British soap opera that ran for 21 years and features relatively few characters and focuses more on six households and the lives of the people in them. The series takes place in suburban Liverpool and features quite a few hot topic issues such as rough marriages, issues with faith and religion, and scenes on the union picket lines.
