Plot
Thousands of years ago human beings conquered space in a distant part of the galaxy. The planet Kobol is the capital of a space empire that spans 12 colonial planets. The highly scientific-technical achievements of the people take a dark turn when super-advanced robotic servants called Cylons rebel against their human masters and wage all-out war. Humanity is defeated, but a ragtag fleet of military and civilian space vessels escape Kobol and head off into interstellar space in search of a fabled “13th colony planet” called Earth. The fleet is led and protected by a mighty military starship, the Galactica.
