Barbarians (2020)

While the term barbarians has come to be recognized as derogatory, the story of the Germanic tribes that stood in opposition to Roman occupation tell a different story. As Emperor Augustus' reign wanes, the Germanic tribes struggle to unify against their oppressors. Arminius is a former barbarian who was raised as a Roman soldier, but he cannot stand to see the atrocities committed by Roman soldiers to his kinfolk. His disgust will drive him to return home and become the chieftain of the tribe he left behind. Together, he'll unite the tribes together and stage a rebellion against Roman rule.
