Plot

Salih, a man who firmly believes that a father should shoulder the blame for his children's missteps, takes center stage in Baba Can'dır. As he immerses himself in the lives of his children, he finds his own existence fading into the background. His eldest child, Ece, is a highly successful executive assistant to a prominent Turkish company's president. Salih beams with pride at her accomplishments but is disheartened by her lack of a personal life outside her career. Egemen, Salih's older son, is an exceptional doctor with close ties to the hospital's proprietor. Yet, his relentless work schedule leaves Salih fretting over his wellbeing. On the other end of the spectrum is Emrecan, Salih's youngest and the family's pampered child. He's a jobless troublemaker who continually relies on his father to bail him out. Our story starts with a playful incident by the river, where Emrecan and his friend Rüzgar engage in harmless fun. When Rüzgar accidentally falls into the river, Emrecan, gripped by fear, flees. In contrast, a brave young girl named Ceylan rushes to Rüzgar's rescue. In an unusual twist of revenge, Rüzgar introduces himself as Emrecan and promises to marry Ceylan in 11 years. Fast forward 11 years, the love-struck Ceylan leaves her hometown Ürgüp and jets off to Istanbul in pursuit of the love of her life, Emrecan. Fate intertwines their paths, leading Ceylan to the real Emrecan. Upon discovering his true identity, she locates his home and introduces herself to Salih as his future daughter-in-law. As Ceylan becomes a part of Salih's eccentric family, we watch as their lives spin into a whirlwind of chaos and unexpected turns.
