Plot
Emma Green is a NASA astronaut selected to command the first human mission to Mars. Her husband is also an astronaut and was originally slated to lead the mission, but a medical condition sidelines him. Emma makes the painful decision to leave her young daughter and husband behind for a mission that will take her away for two years. After the mission launches, Emma shakes the confidence of her crew when she bungles an emergency situation. Now she must struggle to regain the faith of her team and hold them together while they face the many dangers of space travel.
