In the year 1906, the renowned Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, author of the famed Sherlock Holmes, finds himself engulfed in a sea of melancholy, unable to pen the adventures of his detective duo, Holmes and Watson, after the death of his beloved first wife. His life takes a surprising turn when his loyal secretary, Woodie, introduces him to a perplexing real-life enigma - a supposed miscarriage of justice that calls for his immediate attention. The enigmatic case revolves around George Edalji, a Parsee solicitor, who is wrongfully incarcerated for penning lewd letters and the slaughtering of livestock in the quiet town of Great Wyrley, Staffordshire.
